Yesterday was kind of a bummer.  Two more job rejections, including one that I really thought I had in the bag.  After a night of open anger and many imaginary spells of conflagration, I decided to redouble my efforts.  So, today, after watching a few of my favorite digital artists, I got to it.  I finished it a few minutes ago and uploaded it... Pirate Harbor I called it - never been good with titles.  Last weekend I had gone out and taken a lot of pictures and so I used a few of those to populate my picture.  I painted over them and walla.  Hope you enjoy!

I've been working a lot since moving to California on getting a portfolio of worth up and running.  So far things have been slow - which is my fault.  I've been laboring for days and days over paintings and then one day I watched a tutorial video by Feng Zhu and it all clicked.  So now I'm only giving myself like an hour to do a painting.  I'm hoping I can just start cranking out tons of stuff that looks good enough to raise some eyes.

Well, while today I am not very tired, I am in a lot of pain.  I must have slept wrong last night b/c my neck hurts like a mother!  I can barely turn left or right, which is going to make driving interesting lol.  Other than that, today I'll be continuing work on my graduate essays and probably working on some art later.  I'm thinking about doing a Full Metal Alchemist inspired painting... that or a Dark Crystal inspired painting.
